The Result
A clean and crisp website that reflects the quality of the actual venue to a tee. Sporting friendly navigation, the colours used are exactly those used on the complex itself. Pockets of Flash™ animation compliment the uncluttered design and add to the attractiveness of the theme resulting in improved visitor attention.
The site is the recipient of the prestigious Gold Web Award presented by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers.
The  e-Path Submit Secure service is used to enable guests to pay accommodation booking deposits by credit card online.
At one stage the owners secured the services of a professional website Search Engine Optimisation company, taking this site out of our hands. The results weren't exactly satisfactory and after three months the responsibility for the contined optimisation and marketing of the site was returned back to us. Owner Comments on this.

The mymissionbeach.com website is a personal project of the founder of Netports Australia, Peter Thwaites. Created in 2001, the free Mission Beach Community website is now one of Queensland's most visited regional tourism sites on the internet - and we should know, we have to pay for the traffic bandwidth the site uses!!
The Result
Cool blues together with a design that highlights core assets of the Mission Beach area teamed with simple yet effective text link navigation makes this site a very user friendly and appealing resource. Peter first authoured his now very popular Ulysses butterfly Flash™ animation for this site.
The gentle undulating curves, both coloured and semi transparent used in the design were a departure from the "boxie" layouts of that time. Now, some four years later, similar design themes can be found everywhere, especially on other North Queensland based websites. The site contains one of the most thorough History sections of any tourism site of the region.
The website is the recipient of the prestigious Gold Web Award presented by the International Association of Web Masters and Designers and won Yahoo™ (world wide) tourism website of the month in November 2002. The site also made it to a finals position in the Telstra Country Wide Media Awards.
* This website can be seen within countless top 3 positions across all search engines when using keywords that pertain to its topic, for example Mission Beach beachfront accommodation, Mission Beach holiday accommodation, Mission Beach holiday accommodation and is usually always within the top ten when similarly relevant search terms are used, such as Mission Beach tours and Mission Beach bed and breakfast and others.
